Colin M Smith have been at the forefront of electrical retailing in Tayside since 1970, when the Kirriemuir shop on the Glengate, where it still remains, was opened by Colin himself. In 1974, a branch was opened in Forfar on the East High Street by Colin’s son, Munro, before moving round the corner to larger premises on Castle Street in 1987.
In 1997, the Forfar shop moved again to a large showroom at the bottom of Castle Street with off-street parking, where it remains today. In March 2007, Colin M Smith opened a store in Arbroath in the Abbeygate Shopping Centre.
Colin M Smith still to this day, remains a family-run business, one which is run with the same values as when it started – quality products with quick, friendly and efficient service. For all your home electricals!
